Join us at Crooked Farmz in East York for a “very local” pop-up farmstand on Thursday afternoons between 4:00-6:00pm!
We’ll always have a variety of regeneratively-grown vegetables on hand that meet or exceed organic standards — this means no chemical pesticides or fertilizers on your food, while we improve soil health and ecological habitat in the process.
Our prices will match or beat what you’ll find for organic produce in the supermarket, while giving you more healthy produce than what you’ll find with conventional chemical agriculture. This is the future of agriculture: very-locally grown, nutrient-dense, in-season food, distributed at the neighbourhood level.
Along with the fresh vegetables harvested that day, you’ll find our secret to growing nutrient dense food: Crooked Farmz compost tea, a probiotic soil amendment teeming with the microbes required to make both plants and soil thrive in our challenging urban environment.
Our compost teas can help your own vegetable crops reach the finish line, give new summer/fall plantings inoculation to ensure a vibrant root zone, or prepare your perennials for winter dormancy after a drought-challenged summer.
Plus, cookies and lemonade from the kids! See you then!
