first workshop at the new CRAY@Downsview compost classroom now in the books: 5 enthusiastic growers out to learn about hot composting, the techniques involved in the Johnson-Su composting method, and to pitch in labour to help fill our first bioreactor on site at Downsview: about 60% woodchip, 30% cocoa shell, 8% rye straw, and 2% shrub trimmings…. it will be ready in Spring 2025.
